BIFA NOMINATIONS FOR UNDER THE SHADOW & JACKED

Congratulations to UNDER THE SHADOW and JACKED for being nominated at the British Independent Film Awards

Thriller UNDER THE SHADOW Is up for 6 awards (including Best British independent film, Best Director for Babak Anvari, Best screenplay and the Douglas Hickox Award for Debut Director) While JACKED is up for Best British short.

With more than 130 British films submitted this year we are ecstatic that two projects we provided post production and finance have been selected.

Our Post Production Manager (and Producer of JACKED) Jennifer Eriksson will be there at the awards on Sunday 4th December 2016.

    JACKED, Under The Shadow & Swallows and Amazons selected in BIFA Long List

    The British Independent Film Awards has announced its long list and we are delighted that three of the films Creativity Media worked on have been selected

    JACKED is up for Best British Short Whilst Swallows and Amazons’ Philippa Lowthorpe and Under The Shadow’s Babak Anvari are in the running for the Douglas Hickox Award for debut director.

    The official nominations will be announced on 1st November ahead of the ceremony in London 4th December.

    Congratulations to the filmmakers.

    Under the Shadow is UK foreign language entry for Academy Awards

    It was over a year ago when Babak Anvari came to our studio where our team help to finish his debut film Under the Shadow. Since then the film has screened at many festivals and has received brilliant reviews.

    With its UK Release tomorrow (23rd September) the film’s success continues as BAFTA selects Under the Shadow as the UK foreign language entry for Academy Awards.

    Creativity Media provided Postproduction and part-financed by our sister company Creativity Capital.

    We are proud this film is getting the recognition it deserves.  Our fingers are crossed when the Oscar nominations are announced in the New Year.

    Una European Premiere at BFI London Film Festival

    Benedict Andrews’ Dark relationship drama is one of twelve films that will compete for the Best Film Award at the 60th London film festival.

    Based on David Harrower’s play Blackbird, the feature explores Una and Ray’s (Rooney Mara and Ben Mendelsohn) past destructive relationship and how it has effect their present lives.

    Creativity Media provided all postproduction and sound design for this film and are proud that this film has been selected.

    With 245 feature films screening at the festival from 5th-16th October, we wish Una every success at the festival.

    Jacked has been accepted at Raindance Film Festival 2016

    We are thrilled to reveal that Jacked has been accepted into the Official Selection of the 24th Raindance Film Festival in London, taking place 21 September-2nd October.

    Tickets for all individual screenings will go on sale on Thursday 1st September 2016.

    47 Meters Down set for 2017 Cinema Release‏

    Shark thriller 47 Meters Down is to have a theatrical release next year after being sold by Dimension Films to Entertainment Studios.

    Renamed In the Deep, the film follows two sisters (Mandy Moore and Claire Holt) trapped in a shark observation cage at the bottom of the ocean with less of an hour left of oxygen.

    Directed by Johannes Roberts, Creativity Media provided post production and sound design for this project including underwater Foley.

    Our Supervising sound editor Richard Kondal headed the team to create a full soundscape of eerie underwater audio.

    We look forward to catching In the Deep on big screen in 2017.

    Creativity Media to Provide Post for 47 Meters Down

    Creativity Media are happy to announce that we will be providing full post-production services for 47 Meters Down.

    The Tea Shop & Film Company produced film is an intense thriller about two sisters who find themselves trapped in a shark enclosure whilst on holiday. Mandy Moore and Claire Holt star as the two female leads.

    The feature is the first to be shot at the new Lantica Media and Pinewood DR Studios 65,000 square-foot water tank facility in the Dominican Republic.

    Creativity Media welcomes our new head of picture post-production – Matthew Troughton

    Creativity Media are pleased to announce Matthew Troughton as our new senior colourist and head of picture post-production and technology.

    Mathew joins us from Ealing Studios-based Met Film Post where he will oversee our picture post-production department as well as managing its technology and systems.

    With an impresses list of credits including last years’ BBC Adaption of The Go-Between, Little Ashes, and the forthcoming British Thriller Stratton, we look forward to collaborating with him with future projects here at Creativity Media

    Project News: BBC Films “Swallows and Amazons” to be released in August

    Summer has arrived and we are feeling nostalgic here at Creativity Media with the release of childhood favourites Swallows and Amazons this August.

    The updated version of Arthur Ransome’s 1930s classic follows a group of children and their adventures whilst holidaying in the Lake District.

    The Walker children travel to a small island in the Lake in a dingy called “Sparrow” where they meet and their rivals on the island, Blackett sisters – known as the “Amazons”.

    Creativity Media provided full sound design and online editing services on this family adventure starring Kelly Macdonald, Andrew Scott and Harry Enfield.

    Swallows and Amazons will be in cinemas from 19th August .
