We have recently been welcoming clients back to our facility, having implemented a number of Covid-19 precautions after a thorough health and safety review. We ask our clients to follow these rules carefully for the health and safety of everyone at Creativity Media.
Creativity Media’s safety Covid-19 safety protocol is reviewed monthly to ensure it is fit for purpose and currently includes:
– Prior to being granted access into CM, all guests and staff need to undergo a risk assessment and training in our Covid-19 guidelines. Every day upon arrival, all staff and guests need to confirm their risk assessments have not changed.
– We keep a stock of PPE, which is readily available to both guests and staff upon arrival.
– Temperature checks are conducted upon arrival and only those whose temperature is below 37.8 C degrees are granted access into the facility.
– The use of face masks has been made mandatory at all times by all members of staff and guests at CM in all communal spaces or where a 2m social distance cannot be maintained.
– We have implemented a one-way-system to alleviate the traffic within the facility.
– A 2-metre social distancing policy is to be maintained at all times and in all suites within the facility.
– Each of our suites has been clearly labelled with the maximum capacity of people it boasts in an attempt to mitigate risk.
– Hand sanitiser gel and antibacterial wipes stations have been installed at all key entrance and exit points and in every suite to ensure periodic use by everyone to mitigate infection risk.
– CM adheres to a strict protocol which is to be executed in case of anyone experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, which includes a waiting room dedicated to those experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms whilst transport is being arranged for them and follow up monitoring.
We are delighted to announce that despite these challenging and uncertain times, we are now fully operating remotely and we are continuing to post our existing projects and starting new ones – it’s business-as-usual.
We have managed to establish a reliable remote workflow, with all of our staff dialling in via dedicated hardware extensions which allows everyone to access their current workstations, shared storage and high speed internet that our facility offers.
Offline and online editors are working from home by using hardware extensions to their machines.
To continue colour grading, our colourist Matthew Throughton has set up a 4k HDR Baselight suite at his home, and has successfully enabled a streaming solution, which allows our clients to remotely attend sessions so that they review their graded picture in real-time.
Our sound editors have bought set-ups from home and continue to work on their projects and we have migrated a full 5.1 ProTools mixing suite to our mixer, Richard Kondal’s home.
Even though we have been physically separated, we have been united in every step of this journey and are delighted to be able to continue to help our clients finish their films, TV shows and streaming content.

We are very happy to announce that Maiden has received a BAFTA nomination for ‘Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer’!
This documentary follows Tracy Edwards, the valiant leader and skipper of the boat “Maiden”, and her quest to put together a crew as fearless as her, and become the first ever female team to partake in the Whitbread Round the World Race. Through hard-work, determination and humility, the crew of Maiden make the impossible possible, by not only partaking in the competition but also winning a couple of the races, in a time where sailing was a male-dominated sport.
Very proud of our own Jennifer Eriksson on her feature producing debut “Looted” premiering to rave reviews at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival- for which CM did full picture and sound post-production!

We are ecstatic about The Last Tree, for which CM provided Sound and Picture Post Production for, receiving a stellar review from The Guardian.
Sound is specially praised, as it’s stated: “Sound design plays a crucial role, too, with Femi’s fractured worldview dramatised through a richly textured mosaic of noise that slips from closeup voices and amplified ambient creaks to muffled booms giving the impression of being submerged underwater (…)”
Don’t miss the chance to watch it now in UK cinemas!
We are thrilled to announce that 47 Meters Down: Uncaged is out in theatres! 47MDU is a sequel to the first film of a thrilling franchise. This time, Roberts not only directed but co-wrote the script alongside Ernest Riera.
The story follows a group of friends that end up trying to survive in an underwater maze.
We are very proud to have provided full post for this exciting project once again! Don’t miss the chance to watch it in the big screen!
We are very pleased to announce that Calm with Horses and Wet Season are premiering at TIFF!
Calm With Horses follows the story of Douglas ‘Arm’ Armstrong, an ex-boxer that is torn apart between his job in a criminal organisation and taking care of his 5-year-old son. This is Nick Rowland’s feature film directorial debut after working on many successful series such as Ripper Street and Hard Sun.
What’s more, Anthony Chen’s new film, Wet Season, will also have its premiere this year in Toronto. This is Chen’s second feature film after Ilo Ilo with which he became a Camera d’Or winner at Cannes! Wet Season tells the story of a teacher who finds support and comfort to her life struggles in an unlikely individual.
CM provided picture post for both of these gripping projects and we can’t wait to see them in one of the biggest film congregations of the year!

The Creativity team would like to congratulate all nominees of the 72nd addition of the BAFTA Awards.
Of course we are most excited to congratulate our very own “McQueen”, a double BAFTA nomination for both “Outstanding British Film of the Year” and “Best Documentary”.
Directed by Ian Bonhote and co-directed and written by Peter Ettedgui, McQueen tells the story of legendary British fashion designer Alexander McQueen’s life and career. This celebratory documentary includes exclusive interviews with his closest friends and family, archive footage, stunning music and visuals to explore his inspiring and pioneering vision for fashion.
2019 begins with the 34th addition of one of the World’s most renown film festivals, Sundance, which takes place each year accepting film submissions from all around the globe. November 28th was the day 112 feature films were announced to be screened, and we at Creativity Media are ecstatic to reveal two of our own succeeded the submissions.
Director and screenwriter Alex Holmes’ Maiden tells an incredible story sailor Tracy Edwards who, against all odds, skippered the first all-female international crew in the 1989 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race.
Director and Screenwriter, Shola Amoo’s The Last Tree, follows protagonist Femi, a British boy of Nigerian heritage, figure out which path to adulthood he wants to take. This film explores the struggle Femi has adjusting to unfamiliar culture and a new environment, after moving from rural Lincolnshire to inner London to live with his mum.
We are very excited for this upcoming Sundance and wish all the best of luck to both Maiden and The Last Tree!
